Computer printer - A computer printer is a computer peripheral device that produces a hard copy (permanent human-readable text and/or graphics, usually on paper) from data stored in a computer connected to it. The world's first computer printer was a 19th-century mechanically driven apparatus invented by Charles Babbage for his Difference Engine.
Computer-generated - The term computer-generated most often refers to a sound or visual that has been created in whole or in part with the aid of computer software. It can, but does not customarily, refer to something produced solely by computer hardware, like a noise from a hard disk drive or a printed page from a printer (although the object printed on the paper may be computer-generated, the physical page itself is not).
Page printer - A page printer is a type of computer printer that prints a page at-a-time. Most often, this type of printer is a laser printer.
Dot matrix printer - A dot matrix printer or impact matrix printer refers to a type of computer printer with a print head that runs back and forth on the page and prints by impact, striking an ink-soaked cloth ribbon against the paper, much like a typewriter.
